LYRICAL SINGING COURSE. CERTIFICATE AND GALA CONCERT.

This course will be taught by the renowned soprano ETERI LAMORIS and is organised by the ‘Belcanto Academy’ centre of Graz, Austria.

LIMITED PLACES. We respect the order of arrival regarding booking requests for available places for this course. Participants that demonstrate technical level, natural musicality, and voice shall be selected by course personnel. Top selected participants from the course will perform at the Lyrical Gala on September 15th.

Ten-day course will focus on vocal technique and artistic interpretation. Participants will be enabled to focus on the musical styles of opera arias, oratorium and classical songs, where vulnerabilities such as the psychological aspect of the singer shall be reinforced and strengthened. The understanding and clarity of the singer’s future is guaranteed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Young talented fans and aspiring adult singers are accepted.
Minimum age for women – 16 years.
Minimum age for men – 18 years.
Maximum age – 50 years.
CV is required. Please bring a list of sung repertoires if you have one. An MP3 recording/internet link can also be accepted.
All classes will be at a one-to-one basis for each participant.

We have professional accompanist pianists, but if the singer wishes an extra hour of work, it will have an additional cost.
The participant must come to the classes prepared and with knowledge of respective musical text and lyrics, as well as with 2 photocopies of their musical works. If the singer does not come prepared, the teacher will be forced to give own one hour time to the pianist so that he/she can correct this problem. (This is not referring to small or random errors).

Those who wish to avail of the course through online can inform us. With the sufficient number of applicants, we can study this option.
At the academy, there is a professional recording studio where you can request a video or audio recording of the Gala Concert, or other services for an extra price.

At the end of the course, the selected singers will receive a certificate from the ‘Belcanto Academy’ centre of Graz (Austria) and will perform at the Lyrical Gala.

PRICES:

Taking into account that this project of the ‘Academy Belcanto’ centre in Graz is going to be carried out for the first time in Spain, we have fixed discount prices in general, for promotional purposes.

Reservation: €100, only after online selection. If the participant doesn’t come to the course, this amount will not be refunded. From 28.08 the chosen participant must pay the rest of the price of the course. If the participant justifies his absence due to force majeure after having paid the rest, the academy will have the obligation to refund it.

Eteri Lamoris comes from a family with a great musical and, above all, vocal tradition. Her grandfather was artistic director of the main Georgian Opera and Ballet Theater in the early 20th century. She studied with her famous mother, the renowned soprano in the USSR, bel canto singer Lamara Chkonia. Eteri’s  sister, the mezzo-soprano Natela Nicoli Chkonia, was a soloist at the Theater in Graz, Austria for 20 years and a professor at the conservatory. The vocal traditions of the Chkonia family have shaped many international singers, including the sisters Eteri Lamoris and Natela Nicoli, as well as Shalva Mukeria, Roman Pichler, Iano Tamar, Jutta Hochörtler, Daniel Serafin, Amin Ahangaran, Stefanie Fritz, Paolo Scariano, Tamaz Saginadze among many others.

Eteri Lamoris is the winner of the Culture Prize and the Gold Royal Order in Stockholm with the title «The greatest singer of our time». She is a concert artist, event producer and the laureate of 9 international competitions. In addition to her extensive accolades, she has over 20 years’ experience as a teacher.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO IN THE PRINCIPALITY OF ASTURIAS?

Participants from other countries can simultaneously enjoy the impressive Swiss-style Asturian nature, called Natural Paradise. It is worth seeing incredible places like Cudillero, Ribadesella, Loanco, Llanes, Luarca among many others and of course Oviedo and Gijón. Usually in the summer, from July to mid-September, people come to Asturias from the south, to escape the heat. Asturian gastronomy also stands out with typical dishes, houses and restaurants with a characteristic interior made of wood. Asturian cuisine with national cider is very popular throughout Spain. The temperature is stable from 22 to 28 degrees. There are many monuments of architecture and art, concerts, performances combined with popular folklore and of course excursions and much more. Of special interest is the Bioparque de Gijón Aquarium and the Oceanarium with 4,000 marine species.

*WE COULD HELP WITH VERY CHEAP ACCOMMODATION IN A YOUTH RESIDENCE, BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT IT MUST BE DONE UNTIL AUGUST 15. THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCOMMODATION WITH HALF BOARD FOR ONLY 30 EUROS.
